Overview

In order to broaden the public's understanding of packaging and to encourage excellence and innovation, the PCA conducts a series of Awards which are run annually. An Awards program is held for the packaging and design industry, tertiary design students as well as primary and secondary students.

Australian Packaging Awards
(for industry)

The Australian Packaging Awards (APA) provide companies in the packaging supply chain with the opportunity to showcase their products, packaging and people on a national stage.

The APA are open to - brand owners, designers, printers and manufacturers, producers, SME's, foodies, retailers, transport and logistics - in fact anyone involved in the creation of packaging.

Success at the APA has helped previous winners - attract new clients, reward employees, boost company profile within the industry and help draw the best talent to their organisation.

Australian Packaging Awards

Southern Cross Package Design Awards
(for tertiary students)

       

The Southern Cross Awards are a national packaging competition aimed at tertiary students studying design at Universities, TAFE's and Private Colleges. Students are provided with briefs, developed by the sponsors, and are required to produce innovative solutions to packaging design.

Australian Packaging Awards

Packaging Design Competition
(for primary and secondary students)

The National Schools Packaging Design Challenge is a packaging competition aimed at students from senior primary through to Year 12. Students are provided with an open ended design brief that requires the production of an innovative solution to packaging design. Students present their designs and rationale via PowerPoint presentations.
