Students will compete initially at a school level.
School level winners will then go on to compete in the judging period
nominated by their school. All students whose work is assessed by
their teacher will be provided with a participation certificate.
(Senior Primary and Secondary Categories)
Four finalists from the Primary School category and four from the
Secondary School category will be chosen from each of the two
external judging periods (May 22 and June 19) and will go onto
compete for the overall prize.
Each of the 8 finalist teams/individuals for both the Primary
and Secondary School categories will receive $200 cash prize.
Their school will receive $250 to spend on Design and
Technology resources.
One overall national prize will be awarded per category
to the team that has best met the Judges expectations.

Winning student team/individual – a further $200 School of winning student team/individual – a further $750
(to purchase design and technology teaching resources)
N.B Both the Senior Primary and Secondary national winning teams will be
presented with their prizes at the PCA Awards Presentation Dinner held in
Melbourne in October 2009. The PCA will cover accommodation and flight
costs for the winning team or individual, ONE accompanying parent per
student and one teacher to attend this dinner. Extra guests will be charged
at members rates to attend.
Participation certificates will be awarded to all students who register
and submit an entry (PowerPoint or Word Doc presentation) to their
teacher. Certificates will be posted to students via their teachers.
Teachers will need to nominate the anticipated number of entries they
will be assessing at school level, when they register their school, to
allow for enough certificates to be ordered.
