A creative design that was the result of Darren understanding the gaps in the market and incorporating this into his design. The pack is aesthetically pleasing with extremely clear graphics that met all mandatory labelling requirements.
A very high level of packaging knowledge was demonstrated, discussed, analysed and recommendations and conclusions clearly stated throughout his presentation. Particularly high scores were received for his environmental section and the research into Linear Low Density Polyethylene and comparisons to other materials. An innovative design, a detailed and well analysed market survey, thoughtful and provoking marketing ethics discussion, a superb tamper
evidence device all combined to make it easy for the Judges to select Selective Rice as this year’s winner.

Research into the process of cartonboard helped this entry take off with a ‘vroom’! Jasmina created a well designed pack
complete with high standard drawings and an extensive market survey. Her placement of the barcode for the number plate was original and appealing.

Man Wash is an innovative, creative design that is sleek, attractive and appealing to its target audience. Brand identification and shelf impact were some of the strengths of this entry. Wesley’s environmental section of his presentation received great marks because of his thorough discussion on transportation issues, material choices and high standard of strength testing. Evaluation of his market survey and considerations of how this might affect design and sales left the Judges impressed.
